Cancellation Policy
In the event that Tenant cancels the reservation for any reason, a $250 cancellation fee will be charged. If the cancellation occurs at least thirty (30) days prior to the Check-In Date and Owner is unable to re-rent the Rental Property by Tenant’s Check-In Date, Tenant will be liable for fifty (50%) percent of the rental costs. If the cancellation occurs less than thirty (30) days of the Check-In Date, all monies paid by Tenant will be forfeited if the Rental Property is not re-rented by the Check-In Date. Owner will make all reasonable efforts to re-rent the Rental Property by the Check-In Date. No refunds for late arrivals or early check outs. We encourage you to buy travel insurance at the time of booking in the event you must cancel and forfeit funds. Travel Guard by AIG offers several different types of travel insurance. Arrival Policy
We endeavor to provide you with all the information needed for a successful experience in Merida and at the Casa.  It is your responsibility to insure the success of your local arrival plans and any coordination needed with our local manager. 

Cleaning and Security Deposit 
Your $350 refundable security deposit on record will serve for the duration of your stay. 

This deposit may cover the replacement of lost and/or damaged items (inventoried by the property manager). Move In and Move Out cleaning is included in the cost of the rental, however excessive damage or wear to linens and/or upholstered furniture will be deducted from this deposit.  Your Credit Card on record will be charged for losses not covered in the deposit amount on record.  Normally the Security deposit will be refunded to the client within five (5) days of their departure. 

Housekeeping: Daily housekeeping services are not included in the casa rental, but are available at additional charge with advance notice. 

Children:  Casa La Barenda may not be appropriate for children under the age of 12 because of the unfenced pool and spiral stair case to roof. 

Pets:  Casa La Barenda is Pet Friendly.  Your well behaved, clean and well-groomed pet is most welcome.  You are expected to clean up after your pet and limit their stay to downstairs and on the floors.  Cleanliness regardless of seasonal conditions is your responsibility.
